@ramercader asked if the Pro version of Lookupper includes audio playback for entire paragraphs. I responded that currently, the Pro version only supports audio for highlighted words and their definitions. However, I acknowledged that the idea of adding audio for entire sentences is excellent and have added it to the TODO list for future updates. You can follow the progress and upcoming features in the Upcoming release thread.

Hello, I love the program, Thank you very much for it. I'm encountering an issue (Arabic); sometimes the voice is wrong, even though the program has correctly recognized the letters, for example in the attached video clip the letters قوي are correctly identified but it is read as "yuro" when it should be "Qawee." I noticed this on many words where the audio is not any real word. Also the definition sentence given is not sounding correct either. but some words as well as their definition are correct.

Thank you for your kind words and the video clip you attached. It’s clear from the video that Lookupper Dictionary sometimes fails to detect the input language properly, which is why words like “قوي” are read incorrectly. I apologize for the inconvenience, but no worries—I’m working on a fix, and it will be resolved in the next release.

Hello, this program is amazing and I love it so much. It really helps me a lot to learn another language. However, as the number of words I have saved increases, I find it a little difficult to review them. It would help me a lot to be able to do a search for a specific word in the saved words. Thank you very much for all the work you have been doing.

That’s a great idea. I think I could implement a system for filtering and sorting saved words. Thank you for the suggestion.

Hi, I don't know if I'm complicating things, but in order to copy the scanned word, I have to go through 3 steps: 1. select the word with cursor and double-click. 2. right-click. 3. ctrl+c. Simply doing 1st and 3rd doesn't do the work, which makes this process kinda cumbersome. So I think a quick copy shortcut may be very handy, a customizable shortcut for searching the scanned word in online dictionaries (such as wordreference) would be extremely helpful too.

You can’t simply select and use Ctrl+C to copy the word because the Lookupper window isn’t focused when opened. This is necessary to prevent it from stealing focus from the active app. As a result, copying a word currently involves multiple steps.

I have added a feature to the TODO list to make it easier to copy the word you look up. You can check the progress here: Upcoming Update - Lookupper for Windows

What about WordReference, I could add it as a Lookupper dictionary, or do you prefer to use it only in the browser?

        Thanks for the suggestion.

Let me know if you need any more changes.

creator I personally prefer to use it in the browser because of the bigger UI in a browser, but a built-in FR-EN wordreference dictionary would be nifty too, thanks.

hey, i've been testing this amazing tool for english learning and it really works nicely. The only feature that i feel that is missing is an option to get the meaning of more than one single word, for example the word "give up" is considered as two words, so having a way to select more than one word like LingQ does would be incredible.

Boar7118 I am still having this problem on the newest version. Let me know if you have any questions I'm happy to assist.

Oh, I tested on the video you provided, and it worked correctly. Could you please provide another example of the issue and share the full list of installed languages like this:

                Hiratecs

Yes, I have an idea to automatically detect phrasal verbs and expressions using the Lookupper Dictionary. It would be nice to catch idioms as well. I’ve added this to my to-do list. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, I understand what you mean. Thanks for the video; it was very helpful.

I finally found the real cause of the issue. It was a backend problem in language-code to voice mapping for synthesized speech. I have already fixed it. You can try again now; no Lookupper update is needed.

Thank you for reporting the issue. Without your help, I would never have found it.

Thank you so much, it is working perfectly now. Truly glad I could help on this great project! I'm already using it to study again. Planning on getting the lifetime license now aswell.

PS. Feature suggestion: I would like it if there is a way to buy the licenses not through the windows store, I would prefer a key I can keep track of and use whenever even If i get a new windows account, but I understand there might be a risk of piracy with some systems like this.. I do see there is an "activate key" option on lookupper but I can't find where else I can buy a license and I would love it.

PPS. If I buy through windows store, will it give me a key I can use even in a different account, or is the license tied to this windows account? Thanks.

If you purchase Lookupper Pro from the Microsoft Store, you can use it on up to 10 PCs with the same Microsoft account, which is a great benefit.

There’s also an option to buy a key, but it’s available only to Russian users who use Russian-specific payment methods, as they cannot purchase Lookupper Pro from the Microsoft Store.

I’m considering implementing my own key licensing system for everyone. However, due to the restrictions in my country, I can’t use services like Stripe, so the Microsoft Store purchase flow is currently the best option available.

creator Very reasonable. I'm wondering if it could be possible to still take payment through the Microsoft Store but just provide a key to your own license system that is not linked to a Microsoft account. but eitherway, I will buy it as it is because it's a great product, and if a DRM free version is ever made I will very happily buy it again 🙂 Thanks again so much, and let me know if I can help in any way at all from America.

creator changed the title to Feedback, Feature Requests & Bug Reports (Windows) .

Has anyone been able to make this work for skyrim? I've enabled windowedmode but when I click ctrl D it marks all text in the entire window (not just where the cursor is placed) and I get no popup window. It DOES work when I alt tab the game, move my windows mouse cursor over, and click Ctrl D but sometimes text and windows will disappear when I alt tab, so it's not ideal.

Edit: Looking a bit more into this and if I'd have to guess I'd say it's because skyrim doesn't allow hardware cursor, so it's not drawing the actual windows cursor, which I'm assuming is what lookuper uses.
