Lookupper 1.2.8 Released

New in Lookupper 1.2.8 (Sep 11, 2024)

Easily copy looked-up words: Click on the target word in the Lookupper Dictionary to instantly copy it to the clipboard.
Context audio: You can now enable audio playback for entire sentences in the Lookupper Dictionary settings (Pro feature).
More target languages: Hebrew, Hindi, Thai, and Vietnamese are now supported as target languages in the Translator and Lookupper Dictionary.
Expanded offline dictionaries list: Added 2 English-Hebrew dictionaries, 2 Italian-English dictionaries, and 4 new Spanish-English dictionaries, including Oxford and WordReference with audio.
Fix HTML tags in Anki cards: Fixed an issue where unnecessary <u> tags appeared in the card view. These tags are now removed from the translation block.
Fix the app crash that occurs immediately after onboarding when the user clicks on the Settings tab.

Lookupper 1.2.9 Released

New in Lookupper 1.2.9 (October 17, 2024)

Improved Add Dictionaries UI: The tree now expands on item click for a more user-friendly experience.
Added new dictionaries for offline use in response to requests on forum.lookupper.com: Finnish-English, English-Indonesian, and Polish-English.
Added logging to identify the cause of the offline dictionaries not working bug. A log.txt file now logs all errors locally, allowing you to attach it for faster app error support via the forum or by email at creator@lookupper.com.
Removed the definition audio feature from Lookupper Dictionary to speed up Anki exporting and save disk space.
Fixed an issue where Lookupper Dictionary returned incorrect results if the context was too long.
Added an option to export saved words to a .txt file.

What's New

1. New feature: Mouse hotkeys.

You can now look up words using Ctrl/Shift/Alt + mouse button combinations, or simply by clicking (only for the scroll wheel and extra mouse buttons).

2. Improved saved words view.

You can now see which words were saved today, this week, or a long time ago. You can also change the language of a word if it was incorrectly detected automatically.

3. Improved Lookupper dictionary.

It now provides more accurate definitions with context consideration.

4. Fixed "Dictionary not found" error.

That occurred if the Windows username contained non-Latin characters.

5. Added new offline dictionaries.

2 new English-Ukrainian dictionaries and 1 new English-Vietnamese dictionary.

6. Definition audio pronunciations.

Is now available for Lookupper Pro users.

7. Fixed small card images.

The minimum image size for saved word cards is now 400x300 to avoid overly small images containing just one word.

Also, many bugs and typos have been fixed.

Lookupper 1.3.1 Hotfix Released (January 22, 2025)

Fixed crash that occurred when binding the mouse hotkey to Mouse Button 4 or Mouse Button 5.
Lookupper will no longer steal focus from the current active window in non-word-targeted mode.

Lookupper 1.4.0 Released (Feb 20, 2025)

This update is designed specifically for gamers—it improves all aspects of using Lookupper in games. Now, a new button will appear in the top-left corner during lookups, allowing you to set individual settings for each game:

Make Borderless

Any game can be switched to Borderless Fullscreen mode with a single button. This solves the issue where fullscreen mode blocked Lookupper.

Autopause

The game can now be automatically paused when performing a lookup, even if it doesn’t have a built-in pause function.

Focused Lookup Window

Useful for games running on the Ren’Py engine (e.g., Everlasting Summer).

Lookup windows can now be moved by dragging a word.

Disable automatic word saving and save only word you want

Other improvements:
• OCR recognition quality has been significantly improved in all modes.
• Fixed annoying bugs that caused the program to crash.
• Lookupper now consumes even fewer system resources.
• Fixed numerous minor UI bugs.
