about Lookupper
Lookupper is unstable in China. When I first used it, it was completely unavailable. There were times when I didn't use a VPN and it responded quickly.
I tried to record a video, but gave up because I couldn't reproduce it stably.
about cloudflare
I noticed that Lookupper uses cloudflare, which provides a large number of IPs. Generally speaking, when a client accesses it, an IP will be assigned to the nearest IP.
But none of them are from China. The reason may be that there are registration requirements for CDN providers and users in China.
So when a Chinese user accesses it, an IP from the United States or elsewhere may be randomly assigned.
For IP traffic from outside China to China, it will pass through different paths (undersea tunnels, etc.). When traffic without line optimization passes, it may compete with other traffic for lines during peak hours and cause packet loss, or only have a very slow speed of <0.1kb/s.
This is a problem that may occur when accessing ordinary non-Chinese IPs.
Cloudflare can also be used for VPN. Some people use backward VPN technology or mount illegal web pages, which may cause the IP assigned to him to be banned. When the user of Lookupper is assigned the same IP, it will be completely unavailable.
about Network line
Generally speaking, the lines corresponding to ip are:
163 backbone network (carrying 90% of overseas traffic)(poor speed)
CN2 network (China's second generation network)(normal speed)
CN2-GT (GT:Global Transit)(better speed)
CN2-GIA (GT:Global Internet Access)(best speed)
You can directly search for keywords such as CN2-GIA to obtain the corresponding server provider
about GFW
while a ip used as VPN with big traffic,or release illegal content,or use backward vpn technology, and caught by china gov,this ip will be banned.
Ban has many forms, including but not limited to banning ip, banning ip:port, banning domain name
about cross GFW
first need a server out of china,and has a good speed to china.
and then use VPN program to cross GFW.
Personal VPN services may generally be used for google, youtube, adult website, these traffics are not encrypted (not only https) can be easily detected and cause the IP to be banned, so it is necessary to encrypt the data through VPN.
For the lookupper, the content of the website will not cause the IP to be banned. It only needs to deploy the web service and does not need to use VPN software.
