AI Customization, Browse Saved Words & Word Frequency

Hi, I have a few feature suggestions to improve lookupper.

In the Saved Words tab, make it possible to browse through our saved words.
Add word frequency information in the pop-up; having the frequency number right next to the headword is fine. Some of us like to use that to help decide if a word is worth saving or not. For English, I can provide a list of over 60,000 word frequencies based on the COCA corpus, if you’d like.
Make it possible to customize the AI prompt, and maybe even let us use our own API key with other models, like Gemini or DeepSeek, for example. Ideally, I’d love to see this feature available in the free version, but if you decide to put it in the PRO version, that’s totally fine too. Honestly, this feature alone would make Lookupper much better imo.

Personally, the third feature "AI Customization" is the one I’d like to see implemented the most. I’ve already seen other people ask for this feature here in the forum, and my friends and I agree.

It would also be great to have direct integration with Anki in the future. This could include features like a button in the pop-up dictionary that appears when it detects we already have a card in Anki for the word we're looking up, as well as a button to directly export cards to Anki from the pop-up.

I agree with this suggestion, it would be great if we could have full control over AI prompts, including the ability to edit both the system and user prompts.

It would also be amazing to optionally connect our own API keys for other AI models, like Gemini or DeepSeek.

On top of that, I’d like to have:

Anki integration for directly exporting results into flashcards.

Yomitan dictionary support, with the option to use custom frequency lists to better prioritize vocabulary.

Lastly, please add a "Regenerate Explanation" button. Sometimes the explanation is cached and contains mistakes, and currently there’s no way to refresh it.

If you be able to implement that, it'll be the greatest tool for language learning of all time.

Xouxou Thanks for the suggestions. I have a question: you mentioned wanting custom prompt support — could you explain what problem you’re trying to solve with it?

creator Allowing users to fully customize prompt,including support for placeholders in instructions (e.g., {sentence}, {target-word}) makes the app adaptable to different needs. Learners and teachers get the guidance they want, and advanced users can tweak it to their liking. Few other apps offer this level of freedom, making it a real differentiator.

creator Thanks for asking, but I’m not after a “perfect prompt” I want the freedom and control to tailor it. User's needs vary and evolve (mine included), so a locked, one-size-fits-all prompt is a dead end that will always miss the mark.
