Feature Request: Save Custom Dictionary Popup Size and Font Size

Hi, I really like Lookupper and find it very useful. I just have a few suggestions:

Customizable font size and popup size/position
It would be great if we could set the dictionary font size in pixels and customize the lookup popup’s width, height, and fixed position. The popup and text are quite small, especially when streaming to a Steam Deck. I know the font size can be changed with Ctrl + mouse wheel, but it resets to the default size every time I look up a new word. It would be very helpful if these settings could be saved. This is the feature I would most like to see improved.
Show phonetic transcriptions by default
In the offline Oxford English-Chinese dictionary, phonetic transcriptions only appear after I click the “Glance” option next to the dictionary. In the offline Cambridge English-Chinese dictionary, I cannot find any way to display them at all. It would be great if phonetic transcriptions could be shown directly by default.
Selectable OCR area for sentence translation
It would also be useful to have an OCR mode where users can manually select an area of the screen. Sometimes I want to translate a whole sentence, but currently I can only look up words one by one, so I have to use another translation app for sentence OCR.
OCR sometimes recognizes only one letter
Sometimes OCR selects only a single letter instead of the whole word, so I have to try several times. Since there are very few cases where someone would want to look up just one letter, could Lookupper recognize the whole word by default? Alternatively, this could be an optional setting.
Mouse cursor issues in some games
Some games do not show a mouse cursor. Even after freezing the screen, the cursor can only move within a very small area around the center of the screen, so I cannot move it to other words.
My biggest request is the first one: being able to freely adjust and save the dictionary font size and popup dimensions would make a huge difference, especially when using Lookupper on a PC or streaming to a handheld device.
I discovered Lookupper by chance and have found it incredibly useful. Thank you very much for all your work on it!

Hi, thank you for the feedback. I will answer your questions one by one.

On Steam Deck, you can zoom in on the entire lookup window using the method described in this guide: Lookupper on Steam Deck. Could you please try this and verify if it works for you?
The Oxford English-Chinese dictionary comes as-is, and I have no control over its content. However, you can modify it manually; the dictionary file is located in the Lookupper folder, which you can find by double-clicking any saved word screenshot.
As of v.1.8.5, you can hold Ctrl and select multiple words to enable the Translator. Could you please confirm if this is what you need?
Could you please provide a screenshot of the issue where Lookupper recognizes only one letter?
Could you please provide the name of the game where you are experiencing this issue?

I tried the QRes method from the tutorial, but it lowers the resolution of the entire computer rather than just making Lookupper larger. This causes two problems. First, when I stream games to a handheld device, using a higher resolution on my PC gives me better image quality and more detail. Lowering the PC resolution also reduces the streaming quality. Second, I still cannot freely adjust and save the font size within the popup lookup window or resize the width and height of the window itself. I use a laptop, so the screen is not very large, and the text in the popup is often quite small, especially the example sentences. I often need to use Ctrl + mouse wheel once or twice to enlarge the text before I can read it comfortably.
This was very helpful! Following your suggestion, I asked AI for some guidance. After closing Lookupper, I went to the Oxford-Glance-English-Chinese-MDX folder, found the ode_glance JavaScript (.js) file, and opened it with Notepad. I added the following code at the end:

Then I saved the file and restarted Lookupper. Now Glance automatically expands and the phonetic transcription is displayed. It works very well!
I may not fully understand how this feature works. If I simply hold Ctrl and try to select words, nothing happens. I first have to use the keyboard or mouse shortcut to open the OCR recognition screen, and only then can I hold Ctrl and select words. Also, I cannot select multiple words at once and have to click them one by one. In the end, the result still only shows the selected English words rather than a translation.
I just tested this several times and the issue did not occur again. But I can briefly describe what happened: when I used the lookup shortcut on a word, the OCR sometimes recognized only a single letter, and only that letter was highlighted in yellow. This happened several times when I first started using Lookupper, but I have rarely encountered it in the past couple of days, so it may be an occasional issue.
The game is Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Games like this do not show a mouse cursor during dialogue or while the character is moving, possibly because the game continuously locks the mouse position. The cursor is normally locked to the center of the screen.Even when I use Lookupper's screen-freezing feature, it does not help. The only difference is that a duplicate image of the mouse cursor appears, but it can still only move a very short distance around the center before immediately snapping back to the center.
Finally, I really hope it will be possible to freely adjust and save the font size within the popup lookup window, as well as the width and height of the window itself. This would be extremely helpful when reading on laptops and handheld devices. Thank you again for your reply and for creating such a useful tool!

Zooming and resizing lookup window feature will be released in the next Lookupper version.

If you can't select multiple words after OCR by holding Ctrl, it could be because you're not on Lookupper v1.8.5. Could you please verify the app version?
It could also be due to a mismatch between the OCR language and the text on screen.
I can't test on Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name — I don't own the game. But the first things I would try in this case are:
a) Run Lookupper as administrator.
b) Enable autopause for the game (not screen freezing).
c) Enable Focus Lookup Window.
This could potentially bypass the cursor locking caused by the game.

I am using Lookupper version 1.8.5, downloaded from the Microsoft Store. My operating system is Windows 11 25H2, and I use OCR to translate from English into Chinese. After OCR recognition, I can hold Ctrl to select multiple words, but I have to click each word individually. Selecting an entire sentence this way can take quite a long time. Even after selecting several words, the translation result only covers one of the selected words or one short chunk rather than the entire selection.
I tried the following settings:
b) Enable autopause for the game rather than screen freezing.
c) Enable Focus Lookup Window.
They worked perfectly! The cursor appeared, and I was able to move it freely and use Lookupper normally. Thank you so much!

Please make sure that you have Translator enabled in the Translator & Dictionaries tab.
Looktionary is just an AI dictionary — its purpose is not to translate sentences (it works with single words and set phrases/idioms). Translating sentences is the purpose of Translator.
