Hi, I have a feature request regarding German nouns.
Currently, when I export a noun to Anki, it only exports the word itself. Would it be possible to also export its definite article (der, die, or das) and its plural form?
For example, instead of exporting:
Unterschied
it would export:
der Unterschied (die Unterschiede)
This is one of the most important aspects of learning German, since nouns should ideally be memorized together with their article and plural form. The article is essential because German noun genders are not predictable, and the plural is also important because plural forms can vary significantly (e.g., Umlaut changes, -er, -en, -e, etc.).
Having both the article and plural included automatically would make Anki exports much more useful and save users from manually editing every card.
Is there already a way to do this? If not, I would love to see it added in a future update.
If adding the article automatically is not possible, would it be possible to add a filter for words by type?
The reason I ask is because I want to easily find all my nouns and manually add/edit their articles before exporting them to Anki.
I noticed that this information already exists in the word details:
Word → Linguistic Details → Part of Speech → Существительное
Having a filter for this (for example, showing only nouns) would make it much easier to review my saved words and add the correct articles (der, die, das) and plural before creating Anki cards.
