Right now I'm working on the next Lookupper update (I always work on the next Lookupper update, so this is not news). I'd like to share what is done and what is planned for the next release of Lookupper for Windows. Feel free to reply.

Future Plans

Syncing Words via Anki Connect: Simplify synchronization of saved words with Anki deck through Anki Connect (suggested by @lord).
Improve support for Japanese, Chinese and Korean: Add tokenizers for these languages, as words are not separated by spaces.
Sorting and filtering for saving words. Make it easier to review long lists of saved words.
Word frequency integration: Add word frequency information to help you decide which words to keep and turn into Anki cards.
Improve Lookupper Dictionary
a) to automatically detect phrasal verbs, multi-word expressions and idioms.
b) to automatically fix OCR missdetections.
Russian - Polish dictionary.
Portuguese - English dictionary.
Fix .apkg importing in RemNote
Manual word correction in case of OCR misdetection?

Unfortunately, I don’t have a definite release date yet. I’m planning to tackle some tasks soon and postpone others, otherwise, it could take forever. I estimate version 1.2.8 should be ready in 2-3 weeks.

Lookupper 1.2.8 Released

New in Lookupper 1.2.8 (Sep 11, 2024)

Easily copy looked-up words: Click on the target word in the Lookupper Dictionary to instantly copy it to the clipboard.
Context audio: You can now enable audio playback for entire sentences in the Lookupper Dictionary settings (Pro feature).
More target languages: Hebrew, Hindi, Thai, and Vietnamese are now supported as target languages in the Translator and Lookupper Dictionary.
Expanded offline dictionaries list: Added 2 English-Hebrew dictionaries, 2 Italian-English dictionaries, and 4 new Spanish-English dictionaries, including Oxford and WordReference with audio.
Fix HTML tags in Anki cards: Fixed an issue where unnecessary <u> tags appeared in the card view. These tags are now removed from the translation block.
Fix the app crash that occurs immediately after onboarding when the user clicks on the Settings tab.

I'm looking forward to the update of Japanese. It's difficult to use right now. I really want to play galgames and load vocabulary to Anki. Plz.

Lookupper 1.2.9 Released

New in Lookupper 1.2.9 (October 17, 2024)

Improved Add Dictionaries UI: The tree now expands on item click for a more user-friendly experience.
Added new dictionaries for offline use in response to requests on forum.lookupper.com: Finnish-English, English-Indonesian, and Polish-English.
Added logging to identify the cause of the offline dictionaries not working bug. A log.txt file now logs all errors locally, allowing you to attach it for faster app error support via the forum or by email at creator@lookupper.com.
Removed the definition audio feature from Lookupper Dictionary to speed up Anki exporting and save disk space.
Fixed an issue where Lookupper Dictionary returned incorrect results if the context was too long.
Added an option to export saved words to a .txt file.

Upcoming in Lookupper 1.3.0

New feature: lookup using mouse hotkey.

For example, Ctrl + Right Mouse Button or even a simple Middle Mouse Click to perform a lookup.

Important “Dictionary not found” error fix

This error prevents some users from using offline dictionaries. It occurs when the Windows username contains non-Latin characters, such as Chinese or Russian.
