Hello! I have some suggestion regarding the addition for Korean and Japanese.
Korean and Japanese both have grammatical elements called "particles" (조사). Korean has spaces between words but uses the same characters for both particles and words, while Japanese has no spaces and uses hiragana for particles and kanji or hiragana for words. The problem is that most dictionaries cannot search for words when they are attached to particles.
For example, the Korean sentence '나는 선생님에게 선물을 드렸다.' translates to 'I gave a present to teacher', where the Korean words corresponding to I, gave, present, to, teacher are 나, 드렸다, 선물, 에게, 선생님 respectively. The particles like '는' after '나' or '을' after '선물' are unique grammatical elements in Korean, and it's important to separate them when searching in dictionaries. While language learners who use dictionaries are familiar with basic grammar and can separate particles from words, lookupper, which is based on OCR technology, searches for words and particles together, making it impossible for users to search them separately.
I would like to suggest a simple solution: when searching for a word + particle combination yields no results, remove the part recognized as a particle and search again. Korean particles include 은, 는, 이, 가, 을, 를, 와, 과, 의, 로서, 로써, 에서, 에게, 부터, 까지, 한테, 께, 도, 랑, etc. - they are limited in number though not few. For example, if searching for "선생님에게" yields no results, the system would then search for "선생님" after removing "에게". A similar approach could work for Japanese. As a Mac user, I've noticed that the basic search function does not implement particle separation for Korean. By adding that feature, It would also be useful for me, Korean user to look up for corresponding English word easier than before.
